We are seeing the resumption of adjustment of status interviews for marriage-based cases. Whether employment-based interviews will be next remains to be seen. Processing times will certainly slow as a result. We also expect those interviews to be conducted in a more rigorous nature, with perhaps the separation of spouses becoming the norm rather than the exception.
We expect that TPS for most countries will be rescinded and DACA likely will end. Extreme enforcement will continue, leading to more arrests and visa revocations, but due to inefficiencies of the administration, likely fewer actual removals.
In the coming days, the Trump Administration is expected to issue a new travel ban, affecting dozens of countries and wreaking further havoc. Attorneys will challenge the travel ban, and courts will decide its fate.
